Germination: 2-4 days
Total grow: 8-10 days
Sow weight: 150 to 250 grams per standard 52 x 27 x 3 cm Grow Tray
1. Soak Wheatgrass seeds in water overnight (6-8 hrs) Not past 8 hours. Enough seeds to cover your growing surface. 150 – 250 grams for a standard 27x53x3cm tray
2. Lay a thin layer of coco peat and perlite mixture in a tray. Cover the surface area with seeds. Ad another tray (preferably without holes) on top of the seeds. Add some weight in the form of a small tile or stone. This helps to form strong roots and get rid of unwanted seed hulls.
3. Keep wet with a spray bottle until all seeds have germinated and start to lift the top tray. Remove top tray and flip over to place greens into blackout. This helps the stems to lengthen.
4. After about 2 – 4 days place the tray into light. This could be into artificial light, sunlight. An exposed windowsill will work just fine.
5. Make sure they have enough water each day. Do not overwater, wheatgrass is prone to mould. They should be ready within 8 – 10 days
