Difficulty level: Easy
Germination: 3-4 days
Total grow: 14-21 days
1. Soak seeds in water 15 to 20 minutes. This is only a rinse. You can add 1 tsp of Hydrogen Peroxide 35% Food Grade to water during rinse
1.1 Enough seeds to cover your growing surface. Roughly 180-200 grams for a standard 27x53x3cm tray
Please note: Do not soak seeds overnight. This increases the chance for mould. Rather add 1 tsp of Hydrogen Peroxide 35% Food Grade to water during a short rinse to minimise mould problems.
2. Lay a thin layer of coco coir and perlite mixture in a tray. Cover the surface area with seeds. We have found that covering the seeds with a thin layer of grow medium improves germination and decreases mould.
3. Ad another tray (preferably without holes) on top of the seeds. Add some weight in the form of a small tile or stone. This helps to form strong roots and get rid of unwanted seed hulls.
4. Keep the medium moist with a spray bottle until all seeds have germinated and start to lift the top tray. Remove top tray and flip over to place greens into blackout. This helps the stems to lengthen.
5. After about 1-2 days in blackout place the tray into light. This could be into artificial light, sunlight. An exposed windowsill will work just fine.
6. Make sure they have enough light and water each day. They should be ready within 14 to 21 days
