Viola Scotch Hybrid Mixed
Viola Scotch Hybrid Mixed produces large intense coloured edible flowers. They are perennial flowers grown as annuals. They have excellent cold tolerance. Not only do Violas provide colour to the garden, they provide a subtle fresh taste with a hint of sweetness to a dish.
Uses:
Firstly, Violas are commonly used to decorate cakes, scones, deserts, sorbets and sweet treats. Try to incorporate them in jams and syrups by adding them during the cooking process.
Secondly, Violas have a subtle sweet flavour and petals can be frozen in ice cubes to add to the attraction of your favourite drink.
Origin:
The Viola flower is a genus containing over 500 species. Viola is the ancestor of the Pansy Flower. Violas were common in Greece around the 4th Century B.C. They are originally from Europe.
