Sage
Salvia Officinalis is a perennial herb with woody stems, oblong gray-green leaves and blue to purple spring flowers. It has a long history of culinary use and has many medicinal properties.

Growing notes:
Plant the seeds before the last spring frost. Water the young plants regularly, keeping them moist until they are well established. Prune the woody stems each spring to encourage fuller growth.
Uses:
Sage is used as a medicinal herb for it’s natural antioxidant content and is rich in vitamin K. As a culinary herb, sage is known for it’s use in compound butters and works best with poultry.
